The Walk Garden - Trent Gardens

The walk garden was the first to be constructed and continues to evolve. We've lost our beautiful redbud tree and replaced it with a fountain for the time being. This garden follows the brick walkway from the garden to the front door. Spring begins with pinks and reds as the tulips herald the new season. The color pallete changes later in spring with a hedge of pink peonies, poppy Helen Elizabeth, pale blue amsonia, baptisia, and verbascum Southern Charm.

High season is July when a double row of daylilies flower along with echinacea, rudbeckia, liatris, and playtycodon. Twin pear trees in the front lawn are also surrounded with daylilies and annuals.

Late summer and fall the border cools down again with a succession of bloom in asters, hybiscus, and sedum.
